This afternoon, the talented development team at Bungie took a short, well-earned break from "unscheduled server temperature control" to speak about the team's unique game engine. Originally built on the Havok engine, Destiny 2 was ported late in development to a new and exciting software built from the ground up by Bungie's team.

"We wanted something that we could tweak and play with for full control. It was pretty late in development that one of our code guys came up with the Telesto idea. Changed everything" says Nautareal Pearson, Head of Parentheses in the coding department.

It turned out that the new engine built on the exotic fusion rifle Telesto would be a huge help to development time.

According to May DuPname, "You don't get to see it, but there's a lot of love put into this engine. Calus from the Leviathan raid is made up of no less than 900 Telestos. They're hard to spot unless you know what you're looking for."

A balding man with no name tag told us, "You get used to it. I don't even see Telesto. All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead."

Weirdo.
